Software-defined

Sequel-SDN

Software-defined networking (SDN), software-defined storage (SDS) and the software-defined data center (SDDC) are poised to create performance, cost and scalability breakthroughs across the entire technology stack. Collectively known as software-defined everything (SDE), these technologies are part of the movement to virtualize the entire computing infrastructure and deliver it as a service.

Building on the principles of virtualization, SDE uncouples software from hardware. Management and control of network, storage and data center infrastructure is automated by intelligent software rather than by the hardware components of the infrastructure. Through simplified orchestration of resources, SDE helps speed the delivery of IT services and provides greater agility to respond to changing demands.

Sequel is building upon its heritage with server, storage and networking technology to help customers apply software-defined principles that can fundamentally transform the way IT services are delivered, managed and consumed.
